UT Community Cooking Classes

Currently I am organizing two very distinct types of cooking classes for anyone in the community to enjoy. The programs differ in that one is hands on and the other is not. The University of Tennessee Community Cooking class program is offered through the UT Culinary Institute under the department of Retail, Hospitality, Tourism Management. Every month we offer classes for anyone in the community. These classes offer hands on, skills based cooking courses with house made recipes from professional chefs. Whether you are a beginner in the kitchen or a serious amateur, our hands on classes offer something for everyone.

If you love to cook and love the taste, quality and the process of making something homemade from scratch, you will love our classes. They focus on techniques and skills that are easily duplicated at home.

The other cooking class program is offered at the Glass Bazaar, a local specialty store in West Knoxville Tennessee. Glass Bazaar Cooking Classes

Our last UT Community Cooking Class featured healthy recipes for the UT Be Well Program participants. In this hands on class, they learned how to prepare a healthier version of several favorite recipes.

The menu included recipes from Cooking Light Magazine.
